The original Great Kilt was made from wool, often grown on one's own sheep. It measured approximately 9 yards of material, and when one wanted a full kilt, he would order "the whole nine yards".
Today's kilts are much more refined and Celtic Crossing is proud to feature kilts made by the internationally renowned Lochcarron of Scotland.
Our rental kilts are made of 13 ounce wool and are woven to the absolute highest standards.
We provide the BlackWatch tartan for all of our rentals. The BlackWatch is an accepted tartan for both Irish and Scottish families. It also photographs very well and looks great with virtually any bridal colors.
In addition to the Kilt, our rentals provide:
All you need to provide is the white shirt and black shoes.
We also have children's kilts for that special occasion or special ring bearer. The children's rental includes:
At the time of a reservation, there is a nonrefundable fee of
$35.00 per kilt. This reserves the Kilt(s) and is deducted from the rental fee. The balance of the rental fee is paid when the Kilt(s) are picked up.
We recommend fittings for you for whatever occasion, to take place three months prior to the rental date. If any changes in the individuals size occur within that time, a second fitting is in order. While you're here, our expert staff will make sure you understand the proper way to wear the kilt. Our goal is that everyone wearing a kilt is comfortable.
